Jack buddy is three!

Jack turned three on the 24th but we had his party when we were in Utah so the family could share in the fun. Jack loves Thomas the Train so that's all he got.

Singing Happy Birthday to Jack.

The Meeting

So we had a big meeting yesterday at work and they said that we are being outsourced but we wont know how it will affect us until Sept. 22. Pretty lame meeting, more waiting. I also found out that I didn't get the job at TGN, bummer. Kind of a crappy day.

If Tom Petty had a day like this he'd sing this song.

My Quick Trip to Utah

I was in Utah this past weekend for a Reception for Amber's sister Krista. She is getting married to Ardi after eight years, we are so excited for them. The reception went really well, I had a great time catching up with friends I hadn't seen for quite some time.

On monday I went down to Provo for a job interview with The Generation Network (tgn.com). I interviewed for the Jr. Network Admin. position, and it went really well. I am hoping that I get offered the job, it would be an outstanding opportunity for me to advance in my career. I'm not sure about the Provo thing but I can always commute, we'll see.

Tuesday morning I went golfing with my Dad and the in-laws at Tremonton Country Club. We had a wonderful time I shot a 44 to lead everyone. The course is in surprisingly great shape. Everyone should take a trip to God's country and play this course, you'll have fun (yep, I said it).

Tuesday afternoon Amber and I hopped a plane to Phoenix and now I'm back home in Sahuarita. On the way home my work called me and they said that Symantec is going to have a big meeting tomorrow to let us know about our outsourcing fate. It should be very interesting, I'm excited to hear what they are going to do. I'll keep you posted.

Finally, I'm sorry to my friends that I didn't get time to see you this trip, it was much too short. The good thing is I have a good chance at landing this new job so I'd be back on a permanant basis. You all know what to do [wink].

Here's another EPIC song by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers to express my words in song. I'm not sure if Tom is drunk or [gasp] high, you can decide for yourself, I'm sure you'll figure it out.

Side note... Me, Clay Cutler, Jason Pixton, Kade Harris and sometimes Martin would drag Main St. Logan in Clay's Red Camero with this song as our battle cry. WINNERS!!!

The Waiting is the Hardest Part

As many of you may know the lovely company I work for is looking to outsource their IT Department. They've been telling us for about two months that we'll know what is going to happen the end of July or first of August. So I'm thinking we should know what's going to happen sometime this week.... not so fast my friends. They did tell us one important tidbit yesterday, the Board of Directors have unanimously decided that it IS a good plan to outsource IT and has given their blessing to our CIO to move forward. So it's looking like we will have to wait a couple of more weeks before we know anything. I guess it's not all that bad, at least I know I will be getting at least one more paycheck.

To hear these words in song please check out one of the Greatest Bands from North America.
